- 500 gground pork shoulder
- 2 sztboiled potatoes (small)
- 1 sztcarrot (small, grated)
- 1 sztegg
- 2 łyżeczkiherbes de Provence
- 1 łyżeczkasalt (level)

- 1 łyżeczkadried dill
- flour (for coating)

- 500 gtomato passata
- 1 łyżeczkasugar (heaped)
- 1 łyżeczkasalt (level)

Press the potatoes through a ricer or mash them thoroughly.

Grate the carrot finely.

In a bowl, add the meat, potatoes, carrot, egg, and spices.

Knead the mixture until it's uniform and well combined.

Shape into meatballs about the size of a walnut.

Coat them lightly in flour.

Brown them in a pan on all sides until golden.

Add the passata, sugar, salt, and oregano.

Stir, cover, and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes.

Serve with pasta, rice, or potatoes.
Tip
The secret to tenderness is the potatoes and carrot - thanks to them the meatballs are juicy and don't turn out tough.
Common mistake
Frying the meatballs too long before simmering makes them tough and dry.
