Instructions
- 1
Grind the chicken breast yourself or use ready-made ground chicken breast.
- 2
Put the ground chicken breast in a bowl, add the egg, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and oregano.
- 3
Mix everything thoroughly until the mixture is uniform.
- 4
Divide the mixture into 6 equal parts and shape into flat burger patties.
- 5
Heat a pan with oil and fry the patties on both sides until golden and cooked through.
- 6
Place a slice of cheese on the hot patties so it melts slightly.
- 7
Finely shred the iceberg lettuce, just like in a fast-food burger.
- 8
Cut the burger buns and lightly warm or toast them.
- 9
Spread mayo on the bottom bun, add the shredded lettuce, the chicken patty with cheese, and cover with the top bun.
- 10
Serve right away, while the patty is hot and the bun is soft.
Tip
Shape the patties fairly flat, since they'll shrink a bit while frying. This makes the burger easier to eat.
Common mistake
Don't make the patties too thick, or they'll brown quickly on the outside while needing more time to cook through.
Serving suggestion
A homemade chicken burger goes great with fries, ketchup, or garlic sauce.
