Thick-Crust Pizza
Homemade pizza on a soft, buttery, and satisfying thick crust.
Ingredients
Dough
- wheat flour type 550600 g
- lukewarm 3.2% milk300 g
- fresh yeast (or 5 g dry yeast)15 g
- sugar2 łyżeczki
- salt2 łyżeczki
- butter100 g
Example toppings
- ketchup
- cheese
- onion (sautéed)
- mushrooms (sautéed)
Instructions
- 1
Pour the lukewarm milk into a bowl, add the yeast and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
- 2
Add the flour and knead for 1-1.5 minutes.
- 3
Add the salt and butter, then knead into a smooth dough.
- 4
Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
- 5
Meanwhile, you can sauté the onion and mushrooms.
- 6
Oil a baking tray and roll out the dough onto its surface.
- 7
Spread with ketchup, add the cheese, toppings, and a bit more cheese on top.
- 8
Bake for about 22 minutes at 200°C, top and bottom heat, no fan, until the cheese and edges are nicely browned.
Tip
First briefly combine the dough without the salt and butter, then add them. This way the dough kneads better.
Common mistake
Adding everything at once makes kneading harder and can worsen the dough's structure.
Serving suggestion
Best right after baking, with plenty of cheese and simple toppings.
